Consultation:
The first step in any type of surgery is a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Adarsh Tripathi. Dr. Adarsh Tripathi will assist you in determining your facial structure and planning your surgery accordingly, taking into account your brow position, wrinkles, and desired outcomes. Before and after the surgery, photographs will be taken to assess the surgery’s success.
Preparation:
Prior to the surgery, be ready to quit smoking if you haven’t already. Certain medications, such as a blood thinner, must be stopped. Make an appointment for an eye exam.
Step 1 – Anesthesia
The anaesthesia will be administered for your comfort, just like any other surgery. Either intravenous sedation or general anesthesia will be recommended by your surgeon.
Step 2 – The incision
The procedure can be carried out in a variety of ways. Depending on the amount of correction required, the endoscopic and coronal methods are used.
Endoscopic incision:
The endoscopic method is used in some cases. A thin tube with a camera on the end and special instruments are inserted through small incisions made within the hairline in the endoscopic method. This allows for adjustments to the tissue and muscle beneath the skin. The procedure will eliminate the cause of visible creases and furrows in the forehead.
Coronal incision:
When performing Browlift surgery, some surgeons prefer to use a coronal incision. Within the hair-bearing skin, a coronal procedure incision is made from ear to ear across the top of the head.
After that, the skin on the forehead is lifted, and any muscle adjustments can be performed under direct visualisation. The scar from a coronal brow lift is well hidden by the hair.
An incision just above the anterior hairline may be recommended for women with very high foreheads. The brow can be lifted without changing the height of the front hairline using this method.
Step 3 – Closing the incisions
Absorbable sutures are used to close the incisions, and skin adhesives are sometimes used as well. The type of sutures required is usually decided by your surgeon.
Step 4 – See the results
The results are visible right away, and changes will be more noticeable after the swelling and bruising subside in a few weeks.
